At RADIUS SFU, we believe education is the key to creating more just, equitable, and inclusive workplaces. It fosters shared language, bridges diverse perspectives, and deepens understanding of intersectional identities and experiences— laying the foundation for harmonious relationships, better decision-making, and solutions that drive meaningful change for your team and community.
Informed by over a decade of work with underrepresented communities in RADIUS labs, our workshops and training provide tools to build awareness, take action, and sustain change. Tailored to your individual, team, and organizational goals and needs, our programs help leaders and organizations create communities where everyone can thrive.

Design isn’t just for architects or artists—it’s for anyone who solves problems, makes decisions, or creates solutions. At RADIUS SFU, we believe your “designs”— policies, services, products, or programs—hold the power to shape lives and transform communities.
Too often, solutions are created by and for a privileged few, leaving many excluded and underserved. This results in barriers like inequitable hiring practices, disengaged teams, and programs that miss the mark – leaving staff potential untapped and community needs underserved.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
By embracing inclusivity in our approaches, we can create solutions that work for everyone—driving meaningful, sustainable change and building a better future.
Our learning pathway takes participants from foundational knowledge to practical application. It equips individuals and teams with tools to design, lead, and sustain workplace change.
We approach this work in a relational, vulnerable, and compassionate way.
We meet people wherever they are on their learning journey, encouraging growth without blame or shame. We create safe, non-judgmental, and accountable spaces for learning, where participants can engage in meaningful, strengths-based discussions that go beyond surface-level understanding.
Our training is rooted in anti-racist, intersectional, equity-centered, and trauma-informed principles. With over 18 years of teaching, 15 years of consulting across public and private sectors, 24 years in social innovation, and 30+ years in research and advocacy, our team brings diverse expertise and lived experiences.
Our half-day EDI Foundations training helps teams and individuals explore systemic racism, power, and oppression, equipping them to apply Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion principles in their work. This training empowers individuals and organizations to increase awareness, foster accountability, and take actionable steps to address inequities and drive meaningful systems change.
Through interactive modules and reflective learning, we create safe, accountable spaces to learn, unlearn, and take action. Participants deepen their understanding of concepts like unconscious bias, privilege, and intersectionality and understand how they have personal and professional impacts in interactions and decision-making.
Our half-day Equity-Centered Design training equips teams with creative problem-solving skills to integrate justice, equity, and inclusion into decision-making and design processes.
By prioritizing the voices and needs of impacted communities – such as historically excluded or underserved – ECD ensures projects, programs, and processes are designed ‘right the first time,’ creating meaningful, useful solutions while saving time and resources.
This training introduces and dives deeper into an equity-centered design framework and principles. It contrasts them with traditional design thinking approaches through examining the role of power, privilege, and systemic barriers that limit our ideas and result in ineffective or harmful solutions.
Participants will learn to:
By fostering inclusive, collaborative processes, ECD empowers teams to create equitable outcomes that meet the needs of those often excluded.
Our half- day Inclusive Leadership training equips leaders with modern people management practices for staff and teams to bring their best selves and do their best work.
This training emphasizes emotional intelligence, active listening, and modeling inclusive behaviors to foster a culture of respect and collaboration. Leaders will learn to:
By leading with empathy, cultivating accountability, and sustaining a culture of belonging, leaders can drive meaningful systemic transformation while creating environments where all voices are valued.
