RADIUS to host BC's first ever Social Entrepreneur Failure Wake

Failure happens.
In entrepreneurship, failure is the fertile soil in which new ventures grow. It’s the training ground for your next venture. It’s the master class in the school of entrepreneurship.
But failure is really hard to talk about.
Acknowledging and accepting failure is a major part of the growth and development of successful entrepreneurs. At RADIUS we recognize this and we want to help create an entrepreneurial community in which mistakes and failed ideas are celebrated. In early Fall 2013, RADIUS will be holding British Columbia’s first ever Social Entrepreneur Failure Wake – a presentation of several failed ventures and ideas followed by a huge celebration of the fact that the talents and energy of those entrepreneurs are now free and ready to create something new.
Do you have a story of a recent social venture failure you’re ready to share? Send us a brief paragraph outlining your story. One lucky entrepreneur will walk away with a $1000 unrestricted grant towards their next big idea. Email your submissions to speters@radiussfu.com. Know of a venture that’s no longer with us? Pass this message along to them and encourage them to apply! Entries must be submitted by August 30th.

Interested in attending but don’t have a failed venture to submit? Send your contact information to community@radiussfu.com and we will make sure you get an invitation with all of the event details. Or, follow us on Twitter (@RADIUS_SFU) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/RADIUS.SFU) to stay up-to-date on all of our events and activities.
