RADIUS is a social innovation and systems change hub based out of the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, on the unceded and traditional territories of the xwməθkwəyəm (Musqueam), sḵwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and selílwitulh (Tsleil Waututh) Coast Salish peoples. We believe in an economy that works for everyone—one that is just, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable. We work towards this vision by delivering programs that collaboratively develop, test, and accelerate innovative responses to tough social problems and by offering educational opportunities that build the collective capacity needed to respond to the challenges of our time.
We are looking for a Knowledge and Network Engagement Lead. The ideal candidate will help us focus and share our learnings surrounding the challenging work of social innovation, systems change, and deep equity; to weave deeper relationships and networks both on- and offline; and to help us build connection within and across our RADIUS communities. We are looking for someone who will do this integral, community-driven work with an equity-centred, decolonial lens. We honour and appreciate applicants from either an aligned educational background and/or lived and work experiences.
RADIUS’ work centres the voices, agency, and choices of communities that are historically, persistently, and systemically marginalized. We strive to walk the talk when it comes to embedding principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion into how and why we do the work we do. We work daily to embody our principles in our strategy, programming, practices, relationships, and work culture. We hope these set the foundation for candidates who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, and LGBTQAI2+ to feel encouraged to apply.
The Knowledge & Network Engagement Lead is responsible for leading a strategy to engage RADIUS alumni, participants, broader social innovation networks and the RADIUS team through the collaborative creation and management of events, workshops, knowledge products, case studies and awards, all focused on the intersection of equity and social innovation. They will work closely with many members of the RADIUS team to ensure these activities support existing goals and activities and also represent RADIUS in the national Social Innovation Canada network to continue to learn from and contribute to national activities. This position applies a justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) framework to all aspects of their scope of work.
