RADIUS SFU and Gore Mutual partner to support creation of equity-centred incubation and acceleration programs for social purpose ventures

RADIUS SFU is proud to announce its partnership with Gore Mutual Insurance Company (Gore Mutual), including $15,000 towards the creation of a regional equity-centred incubation and acceleration program for Metro Vancouver. Replacing past RADIUS incubator and accelerator offerings, this programming will elevate the ideas and priorities of Black, Indigenous and racialized innovators leading transformative social ventures and economic systems change initiatives.

RADIUS is excited to have Gore Mutual as a partner with a common desire to build long-lasting and meaningful relationships and a shared vision to support community-driven social enterprises and initiatives led by equity-deserving individuals and groups.

“Gore Mutual is proud to partner with RADIUS to support Black, racialized, and Indigenous-led social enterprises in Metro Vancouver by co-creating an equity-centred regional development program that ensures we are supporting an economy where everyone can thrive.

-Gaby Polanco-Sorto, Senior Vice-President, Purpose and Sustainability, Gore Mutual

This work builds on RADIUS’ 10 years of experience as a national leader in social venture support, and over 18 months of research and community consultation on this program redevelopment. Gore Mutual’s partnership will specifically support co-creation and pilot activities with community entrepreneurs and innovators, RADIUS alumni and other organizations committed to advancing equity in the social economy. This in turn will enable the full launch of programming in 2023.
