RADIUS is hiring an Associate Director!

We are looking for a new team member to help us in our work to activate systems change using a deep equity approach, with the ultimate goal to create an economy that is just, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.

Your primary commitment will be to foster a work environment where staff feel like their ways of being are heard and seen and where they have the financial resources and organizational processes in place to deliver their programs sustainably. You are also a core member of the RADIUS senior leadership team with whom you share decision-making related to organization-wide team care, operations, and financial strategies.

First and foremost, we are looking for someone who builds teams and leads using an equity-centred and decolonized lens, with a relational, approachable, and clear verbal and written communication style. We are looking for someone with an approach to system change that is strategic and creative, with proven project and budget management skills; and a track record of successful grant writing and funder relationship building.

Because we believe our economy needs to work for everyone, it means our work must centre the voices, agency, and choices of communities that are historically, persistently, and systemically marginalized. We strive to walk the talk when it comes to embedding principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion into how and why we do the work we do. While this approach cannot guarantee an entirely safe space for all, we hope it sets the foundation for candidates who identify as racialized, Indigenous, and LGBTQAI2+ to feel encouraged to apply.

This is an 18-month, full-time contract with Simon Fraser University; APSA Grade 11 ($76,473 To $91,324) with benefits. The contract will run ASAP— January 31, 2023. This temporary contract will allow our current Associate Director of Labs to take care of her growing family. We recognize that this may not represent the long-term career stability some require. Do know that we are developing a succession plan that will allow you to feel like you are not simply “replacing” someone. We are considering ways to financially sustain your involvement in the team if you desire.

Detailed information about the responsibilities and the perspectives needed for this position can be found here; the official job description and application link is here.

Applications close on Sunday, May 16th, 2021 at 11:59pm.

Please note that we will be contacting shortlisted candidates only.
